These are just a few of the faces of the many Houston area couples who have
conceived children thanks, in large part, to the doctors and staff here at
the Houston Fertility Institute.
What's it like for a couple to have a family where there once was none?
This HFI patient puts it this way.
Brittnie, IVF Patient:
This experience has been life changing and amazing. We just feel very
blessed.
But unfortunately, many couples wonder if they will ever experience that
feeling after trying sometimes for months or even years to conceive a child
on their own. They can feel isolated and alone and oftentimes don't
understand just how common infertility really is.
The good news for couples battling the anxieties associated with
infertility is that, believe it or not, there are lots of reasons to have
hope.
Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research:
I think hope and optimism are everything. There are very few patients that
we have no options for.
Here is one of the biggest reasons why HFI patients have so much hope. This
state-of-the-art, in-house IVF lab features some of the most high tech
equipment in fertility today. Those who work inside this lab have world-
class skill, experience, and expertise.
Lab Technician:
Our laboratory is one that is second to none, and I think that the majority
of our successes in terms of IVF happen in the laboratory.
Dr. Daniel B Williams, Medical Director:
Our lab director is extremely experienced in all aspects of infertility.
Our infertility specialists are very experienced, with some having more
than 20 years of experience in treatment for infertile couples.
HFI offers eight convenient Houston area locations where every patient
receives the same compassionate and personalized treatment every time.
Dr. Josh Skorupski, Director of Genetics and Oncofertility:
We do the most number of IVF cycles in Texas, but you go into any office
and you won't feel that way.
Dr. Daniel B Williams, Medical Director:
We understand that the process of infertility evaluation treatment is
extremely stressful for couples, not just financially, but certainly
emotionally as well.
Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research:
Our staff has lots of experience treating patients with infertility. We've
got nurses, receptionists, MAs, laboratory personnel, and physicians who
have done this for a long time, and they're quite sensitive to the
difficulty that patients are going through.
Mrs. Wesh:
They treat you like family and you feel like family and it's just
wonderful.
The doctors and staff here at the Houston Fertility Institute are as
likeable as they are skilled. They are proud of their impressive success
rates, their financial assurance program, and their ability to help
everyone from single women and couples to cancer patients with their
fertility goals.
They're also proud of their annual baby shower that attracts many of their
past and even current patients for what is always a unique, family-friendly
event.
Dr. Jason Griffith, Practice Director:
The baby shower's an extremely special day to us here. It is awe-inspiring.
Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research:
We have pregnant mothers, we have newborns, and we've got kids that are in
grade school and it's all part of a family.
Dr. Josh Skorupski, Director of Genetics and Oncofertility:
I can always feel the energy in the afternoon of everybody being really
happy and elated to have achieved what seemed to elude them for so long.
Every year, more and more couples join the extended family of the Houston
Fertility Institute. It's a place where everyone on staff is focused on
providing the absolute best care possible for every couple in search of
their own little miracle.
Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research:
I think that every one of our pregnancies is a miracle. Oftentimes, the
most rewarding experiences for the physicians and for the staff are the
patients who have had to struggle with infertility.
Dr. Jason Griffith, Practice Director:
To take a patient that comes to you so desperate to become a parent and
you've been able to assist in that process and see the true joy and
satisfaction and completeness that you've added to that couple's life, it's
awesome.
