Fertility Success Stories

At Houston Fertility Institute, quality infertility treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovulation induction, and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) with our respected fertility specialists have resulted in the ability of thousands of couples to start their own families. Anthony & Elaina's Story

My husband and I love children and we very much desired to have children.  However, because of our situation, we knew we would need assistance from a fertility doctor.  We reviewed lots of information.  We found the web site for the Houston Fertility Institute.  We decided to meet a HFI doctor in person and ask some questions.  It was then when we met Dr. Skorupski.  He was very friendly and informative.  He took his time to make sure we fully understood the answers to our questions and the procedure which would best help our situation.  Also, we speak Spanish.  To our pleasant surprise, Dr. Skorupski would also explain the procedure in Spanish.  It helped out that he spoke our language.  That showed us that Dr. Skorupski cares about his patients.  I am now pregnant with twins!  My husband and I are extremely happy and are anxiously awaiting their birth.  Dr. Skorupski is awesome!  He is friendly, caring and very professional.  The nurses at the HFI are also very friendly and helpful.  My husband and I are completely satisfied with our total experience at the Houston Fertility Institute.

Natalya & David’s Story

My husband and I both came from challenging family situations, and it was much later in life that we came to embrace the idea of starting our own family. We are both a little older than most first time parents, so we knew it would be difficult to conceive naturally. We were referred to Dr. Witz of Houston Fertility Institute (HFI) and were not sure what to expect. From the beginning of the process, Dr. Witz was patient and plainspoken. He was able to demystify the medical details without talking down to us. He helped us understand the concepts behind what we needed to do and what to expect as each phase approached. Through it all, Dr. Witz offered a comforting sense of humor that eased the apprehension and anxieties that can wear on a couple during the process. He reassured us that we were deserving parents and that our efforts would ultimately be successful.

In January 2011 we made our first IVF attempt. Two weeks later we learned we were pregnant. The news was overwhelming because, like many other couples who have had problems conceiving a child, you start to doubt that it will happen! We appreciate Dr. Witz for his patience, kindness, and professionalism. He and his whole team were always there for us when we needed them most. Everyone at HFI was more than professional. They are all our friends and partners helping us start our new family.

We’re due in the middle of October and know that day when our child will arrive in this world will be the most exciting day of our life.

Melanie’s Story

I found out in October that not only did my first round of IVF take, but I was blessed with two babies! I am now 16 weeks pregnant with two very strong babies! Thanks to Dr. Griffith, Dr. Gill and the entire staff at the Woodlands office! I was so very nervous at first but by my second visit, I was completely at ease. The entire staff from receptionist, to the nurses, to the girls that drew blood for lab... You are all the sweetest most caring bunch of angels. The whole process is so very stressful and the staff helped ease my mind by answering all my questions, even the ones I asked several times, with care, compassion, and concern. I could not have chosen a better office and because of everyone at the Woodlands my journey was successful and very memorable.

Echo's Story

I’ve been married for 11 years and I have a 10 year old son.  My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years.  I’ve had 2 miscarriages, both in the first trimester.  My gynecologist recommended Dr. Williams to me after my devastation.

 After my 1^st visit with Dr Williams I knew I was in good hands.  He answered all of my husband’s and my questions, explained in detail all my options and assured us he would do all he could to help us add to our family.  I had a procedure done in the office and both the Doctor and the staff were fantastic!  They comforted me through the entire procedure and made sure I was aware of what was being done. 

The staff was very knowledgeable with any questions I had after the testing and treatment.  I’m currently pregnant – passed my 1^st trimester with no complications!  I thank God for Dr. Williams and I know I would not be where I am now without him and his office!!

Derrick & Latisha’s Story

After 5 years of marriage and growing up as childhood friends, we decided to extend our family. We thought it would be as simple as stop the birth control and in a few months we would be pregnant. However, that wasn’t the situation. We tried to conceive for two years with no luck. We went to a fertility specialist close to home and were told that IVF was our only option. After researching the IVF procedure we decided to give it a try. We searched all over the internet for a highly recommended fertility specialist and Houston Fertility Institute was the answer to our prayers.

We went to a consultation with Dr. Jason Griffith and decided we were going to give the IVF procedure a try. Dr. Griffith and all the HFI staff were professional, friendly, and very supportive through our entire IVF process. We were told it would be very emotional and stressful; however it was anything but that, even though we drove 160 miles one way to each of our visits, which totaled to around 5000 miles traveled from our first visit to our last. We would do it again. We cannot thank the HFI staff and Dr. Griffith enough for what they have done for us. We are now 30 weeks pregnant with our baby boy Trystan. I highly recommend Houston Fertility Institute over any other fertility institute.

Cindy and Joey's Story

I wish that by reading my story you see it as a positive outcome and it gives you high hope throughout your journey of trying to conceive.

MY STORY: My husband and I had many unsuccessful rounds of fertility treatments including clomid and IUI over a span of three and one-half years. In January 2006, we agreed that if this round doesn’t work, that would be it for us. We couldn’t physically, emotionally, or financially endure the same negative results anymore.

I know GOD had been watching over us because in February 2006, exactly one month after deciding to “quit,” was hired as a permanent employee by the company that I had been working contract for. After questioning our HR representative about fertility coverage with our insurance I quickly found out that IVF was covered 100 percent for up to three cycles in a lifetime, which is VERY unheard of in the state of Texas. It sounded too good to be true!!! I immediately called my doctor and he was also shocked to hear of the coverage. He said that I should immediately proceed with the IVF before the company realizes that they have done. LOL. He referred me to a very successful reproductive endocrinologist that he refers all of his IVF patients to — Dr. Jimmy Gill with the Houston Fertility Institute. I was able to schedule my first appointment in April 2006 and we did our first round of IVF in June 2006. At the retrieval they removed n5ne follicles and three days later we had three embryos transferred. 14 days after the transfer, I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive, but I didn’t want to get too excited until it was confirmed by the results of our blood work. Around 1 p.m. we got the call that would forever change our lives: I was FINALLY pregnant. It was what we had been waiting to hear for almost four years.

I delivered a healthy baby boy on February 6, 2007 at 10:07 am. His name is Kadyn and at birth he weighed 6lbs 12.5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. I can honestly tell you that every time I look into his eyes, I think of Dr. Gill and all of their staff. Without them, we wouldn’t have been blessed with this miracle baby that we have always dreamed about. I will forever be grateful that I have been given this opportunity that had such positive results for our family, and it all goes to the Houston Fertility Institute.

I don’t know what the future holds for our family, but I can only continue to think GOD is still looking down on us and will one day bless our family with a second child the same way he did with our first. If that means we have to do IVF again, I will definitely be using Dr. Gill and his staff at the Houston Fertility Institute.

Jacob & Jennifer’s Story

We were referred to Dr. Griffith by our OB-GYN due to Jacob's low sperm count. We had tried almost 2 years on our own and knew we need some type of intervention to conceive a child. Jacob had been through the ringer as we searched for an explanation for his low count.

Dr. Griffith and the staff at The Woodlands Clinic welcomed us with open arms. We laid out a folder full of test results from previous doctors and discovered we would be perfect candidates for IVF with ICSI. As luck would have it, that same day I happened to be on the right day of my cycle for a baseline ultrasound. Dr. Griffith's enthusiasm was contagious and we decided that day there was no looking back and no other doctor for us. After transferring two embryos, we discovered on August 5, 2011 that we were pregnant and on August 16 we found out it was twins!!! I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with two little girls and we are anxiously awaiting their long anticipated arrival.

 In a few weeks, Jacob and I will become a family with the addition of Hannah and Hayla. I cannot thank Dr. Griffith and his staff enough for the two miracles we will be blessed with. I can assure you that in a year or two we will be headed back to HFI and Dr. Griffith to continue building our family.

Rhonda and Corey's Story

My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year — I mean REALLY celebrating, because this year our dreams came true with the help of The Houston Fertility Institute. Last year, we had pretty much given up on our hopes for a child of our own. We heard about HFI and made an appointment to see Dr. Gill. The course of action that he recommended for our situation was IVF. Upon making the decision to go forward, HFI immediately began providing us with all of the information that we needed to begin our journey. It was overwhelming at first, but the staff was there every time to answer all of our questions and help us prepare for the procedure. With IVF, it was necessary for me to visit the office three times a week for blood work and ultrasounds for the month leading up to our procedure. It's almost as though I became a part of the "family" at HFI during this period. I looked forward to my visits, knowing that these people had a true understanding of what I was going through both emotionally and physically (not only because of my lifetime longing for a child, but also because of the physiological and emotional effects of the treatment leading up to the procedure).

At each visit, the staff spent focused time with me, explaining every step of the way what was progressing, what I needed to do, and what to expect. On the day of the retrieval, we were very nervous, but Dr. Gill made us feel so assured. The week came when we were to do the pregnancy test. To our surprise, the staff called us prior to the date of the test to let us know that I was pregnant. They could already tell by the blood work and didn't even want us to have to wait two more days to find out. It was one of the most memorable days of our life!

From that point, we visited the office three times a week for the next 10 weeks of my pregnancy. Again, I looked forward to seeing the staff at every visit. Any time I felt scared or concerned, the office would see us or contact us immediately. Now, our son Reagan is almost three months old. He is perfect! We couldn't be happier! I recently had the privilege of introducing him to Dr. Gill personally. Needless to say, my heart was overflowing with emotion that day.

From my husband and myself to our entire family and all of our friends, we can never express enough gratitude to Dr. Gill and the entire staff at HFI for what they have done for us. These people really do help people to make their dreams come true! Our lives have been changed by the realization of our new family, and we could never have done it without HFI. Our deepest and most heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes out to you!

Trent and Amy's Story

During the hardest time in mine and my husband's life, Houston Fertility Institute and our faith offered us the hope that we longed for. Dr. Haddad, Antoinette, and the rest of the staff always greeted us with a smile. Each time we arrived for our appointments, we felt comfortable, able to be ourselves, and completely free to ask whatever questions we had. Dr. Haddad gave us devoted attention and showed us how much he cared about us. We did not feel like patients. We felt like friends. They made sure that we were not only feeling well physically, but emotionally. I would recommend anyone I know to Houston Fertility Institute and Dr. Haddad. The positive warm feeling of the office radiates to your heart. Because of Dr. Haddad, we are able to fulfill our lifelong dream of becoming parents. We are ecstatic to report that we are expecting a beautiful baby girl in November.

Manuela's Story

A year ago I was doing research on fertility programs around the Houston area after years of longing to start a family. Thankfully, I came across the Houston Fertility Institute and nervously made my first appointment. It was then that I met Dr. Haddad and set off on my journey of making it all reality. He was very thorough in discussing my past medical history and answered all of my questions in detail. We discussed all options available as well as all procedures that would be needed. Once I was on my way through the IVF process, it was an interesting few months of injections, blood work, and ultrasounds at the Medical Center office. Dr. Haddad performed all my ultrasound scans and was always willing to listen to my concerns and answer questions that developed along the way. I trusted his recommendations entirely and I believe that made all the difference in my IVF cycle being successful. I also have to say that the great office staff was also so very supportive. Antoinette always made me feel at ease and was always encouraging. I noticed the same concern and great care for all the patients that walked through the doors at the HFI. Thankfully, I am now pregnant with twins, and I know that I would not have been successful had it not been for Dr. Haddad. After spending so much time visiting the office, I felt not only like a patient but like a friend. I will always be grateful for the help given to me and for making my dream of becoming a mom a reality.

Felicia and Ronen's Story

When I came to HFI, I was at a point of absolute frustration with my body, my infertile condition, and the fact that there are so many clinics that are waiting to take advantage of this situation. My husband and I had already spent thousands of dollars trying to get pregnant. My girlfriend heard the ad about Houston Fertility Clinic on 96.5, and knowing what my husband and I had already gone through, she called me. My husband and I were apprehensive at first because of our previous experience with this. When we met with the staff, consisting of Dr. Gill and Mary Lou, they made us feel like the world had not ended and that with proper medical treatment there was a strong possibility that we would indeed have a successful pregnancy. They did everything they could to reassure us, without giving us false hope, that we would have a family. Dr. Gill always had time to speak with me about my concerns and walked my husband and I through the whole process, both professionally and emotionally. I'll never forget the calm I felt the day I met with Dr. Gill and Mary Lu. It was the first time in two and one-half years that I felt hope. Today we have a 21- month old, absolutely perfect, gorgeous, healthy little girl that is the definition of our lives. If we could have written to God what to put in and leave out, this is our child; she amazes us on a daily basis. You never know the definition of perfection until you see your child, and all the struggle and the money spent, it becomes the most insignificant detail. I thank God every day that there truly is a group of people in the world that want to make families complete like Dr. Gill does. I recommend HFI to any and everyone who is at a point of frustration like we were. Thank you, Dr. Gill and his staff for completing us.

Tom and Richelle's Story

After a year of trying to get pregnant, and month after month, nothing happening, I decided to do some research. That’s when I found Houston Fertility Institute. My experience at Houston Fertility Institute with Dr. Williams was excellent!  Everyone at the Sugarland office was dedicated and focused on providing me with the best quality care.  Dr. Williams was patient, listened to all my questions and concerns, and was able to assist in helping us conceive our first child.  One of the things I love about Dr. Williams is that he is highly skilled and intelligent but also has great people skills in making his patients feel comfortable and safe.

Laura's Story

When I first went to see Dr. Haddad, I had little hope, and I honestly was burnt out on doctors talking to me about infertility, because nothing had worked. I was chewing on my last straw so to speak (not to mention my fingernails). My husband and I had been together for 10 years and married for seven. We’d never used birth control, yet had never gotten pregnant. We had specifically been trying for over six years with no success. Infertility had taken a heavy toll on me, in more ways than I cared to count. But I found hope in Dr. Haddad and HFI. I went in for a consultation and felt immediately comfortable and hopeful there. He was kind and took his time with me in explaining my options. I never once felt rushed. We started treatment immediately, after some initial testing, which is exactly what I wanted. I didn’t want to wait any longer. Dr. Haddad was there every step of the way, as was his nurse Antoinette. We’ve never in my life felt comfortable in a doctor’s office the way I felt at Dr. Haddad’s. They were there to support me all the way through. There were ups and downs, and both Dr. Haddad and Antoinette were there to share in my joys and to comfort me when I was scared, nervous, or just panicked with waiting. Dr. H. was very hands on and wasn’t afraid to jump in and even drew my blood when things were busy. Now that’s different! The staff is the same way. Antoinette called me personally with all my results and even called to check on me when I was scared our IVF hadn’t worked. I am happy to report that I am now 25 weeks pregnant with twins, a little boy and a little girl. My family is on its way to being complete after many, many years of heartache. And as I told Dr. Haddad on the card I wrote on my last visit with him, I thank him from the bottom of my uterus!!

Fairen and Maher's Story

After many sad years battling with infertility, numerous doctors and procedures that just did not work for me, I was so happy to have found Dr. Gill and his wonderful staff. I remember how my husband and I were going to give up trying to have a baby; then someone told us to go see Dr. Gill. A week later we made our appointment. From the very first time meeting with Dr. Gill he made us feel like no other doctor had. By the end of our appointment we were so optimistic and confident that if anyone was going to help us have a baby, it would be him. It was hard at times because many of the infertility treatments did not work for me, and Dr. Gill had to create a treatment plan that my body would accept. But through it all the staff was amazing and so understanding and Dr. Gill was so patient, caring and always encouraged me that I had to hang in there even when I wanted to give up. I'm glad we made the choice to go see Dr. Gill, because my husband and I are now proud parents of a beautiful baby girl and we owe it all to him and his caring staff.

Christie and Nelson's Story

We choose the Houston Fertility Clinic based on the website and the good information then website had. We set up an appointment not knowing what to expect, which doctor we would be assigned, or if we would even be able to get pregnant. After meeting with Dr. Haddad, we both felt all the anxiety go away. He was very informative and very calming. Dr. Haddad is a master at what he does and there is no guesswork with him; it is all science, experience, and education. His confidence made us believe it was possible to achieve our dream. The more we spent time at his offices, the more we looked forward to coming in. (What doctor's office can you say that about?)

We were very pleased with all the medical staff we encountered. They made us feel part of a family instantly. When going through something as private and emotional as this, that feeling was very important to us. As he assured us, we were pregnant in no time. It wasn’t easy, but with Dr. Haddad and his staff it seemed painless. I can’t imagine going to anyone else after this experience. The only bad thing is that we won’t see Dr. Haddad and his staff anymore (until we decide to have another child). I wish everyone good luck and best wishes, and hope you choose this facility. Rebecca and Kevin's Story

My husband and I had basically given up all hope of ever becoming parents after my many years of battling infertility. I had gone through many procedures in the past and nothing seemed to work for me. We came to the realization that we would not be parents and accepted that as our reality. Or so we thought. After going in for a checkup, my OB recommended my husband and I go see Dr. Gill. I thought to myself, here we go again, but I will listen and see what he has to say. From the minute we walked in the door we felt right at home. Our first visit with Dr. Gill was so very different from anything I had expected. He spent time with us going over my history and within a few minutes told me what our problems were. He also explained to us there was no reason why we could not have a child of our own. Much to my surprise our future changed that very minute, we went from thinking we would never have a child to yes we would have a child. I am very happy to say I am now eight and one-half weeks pregnant. Without the care and support of the whole staff this dream would not be coming true for us. We are counting down the days that our baby will be here for us to hold in our arms.

Infertility is a roller coaster ride with more ups and downs than I can ever explain, but with a doctor like Jimmy Gill on your side, it is well worth everything you go through knowing you will have a baby in the end. I truly believe Dr. Gill has one goal in mind and that is to see that all of his patients are as happy as we are in the end.

There are words to express how grateful I am to Dr Witz and his nurse!! My husband and I were on a 6 year journey of Miscarriages and failed IUI /IVF, during our journey I had some really bad doctors. UNTIL I found Dr Witz!

I would recommend him to Anyone and Everyone!!! He treated me with compassion, sympathy and most of all made me feel like a person and not another name on a folder. He always spent lots of time with us and never once made us feel like we were rushed.

We all know how stressful this journey can be so it really helped that Dr Witz is actually funny! I think I laughed every time I was in that office. Sarah's Story

My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for almost two years. We have been to numerous doctors, which were mostly a waste of time and led to many heartaches. Finally, we were blessed with the findings of Dr. Gill at Houston Fertility Institute. From the moment we started treatment with Dr. Gill, we knew he was different than all the other doctors. I had so much faith in him and knew he would do everything he could to help my husband and I become a family.

I went to see Dr. Gill a few days ago, because I was having some pain. I wasn't due for my two-week pregnancy test for four more days. My pregnancy test came back positive!
