Financial Assurance Plan for IVF, Insurance, and Financial Information

Houston Fertility Institute's Unique Financial Assurance Plan and Financing Information

At Houston Fertility Institute, we believe that quality infertility treatment, whether intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovulation induction, or in-vitro fertilization (IVF), should not be cost prohibitive. In this interest, we are proud to offer a Financial Assurance Plan to IVF patients of our Houston and The Woodlands, Texas-area clinic that rivals that of any other fertility center. We also work closely with insurance providers as well as financing companies in order to develop a payment plan that best suits your needs.

HFI's Financial Assurance Plan

We at Houston Fertility Institute stand firmly behind each and every IVF cycle we perform, as well as our high success rates.  Therefore, our Financial Assurance Plan is very different from that of other centers.  HFI provides exceptional value to its patients by sharing the risk with a free second IVF cycle offer.  If you do not become pregnant during the first cycle, your second fresh cycle (and all subsequent fresh cycles) is FREE** of all HFI physician fees.

At Houston Fertility Institute if you complete one IVF cycle and conceive, you’ve only paid for one cycle. We have found that this is a true financial assurance we take with you — our patient.

Key Features of Our Financial Assurance Plan

  • NO exclusion criteria — everyone is a participant*
  • If you are not pregnant after utilizing all embryos from your 1st IVF cycle, we will perform your 2nd fresh cycle, and all subsequent fresh cycles, FREE** of all HFI physician fees!
  • We will continue with that process until you are pregnant — our ultimate goal together!

* Must be self pay patient

** FREE of physician fees — our physicians waive their fees.  The patient will still be responsible for paying the laboratory, facility, and anesthesia fees along with the cost of medications. Not applicable for gender selection cycles.

Other Insurance and Financing Information

Insurance Coverage

At Houston Fertility Institute, we participate with a variety of health insurance plans, and we know that coverage for infertility treatments will depend on your individual plan.  Your insurance provider and the specific plan selected by the subscriber's employer will determine what degree of treatment is covered.  Most health insurance plans cover only "medically necessary" procedures.

We encourage you to research your coverage by contacting your employer’s human resources department or your insurance company to request an explanation of specific benefits.  Please see below for a list of suggested questions to ask.  We also have financial counselors available to assist our patients in assessing their coverage.

Financing Options

There are various financing options available through outside companies, and this can be discussed with one of our financial counselors at your initial consult.

We realize the financial aspects involved can be an added stressor in your journey, and our goal is to assist you with this as much as possible to ease the burden.

  • Are there genetic testing benefits?
  • Can you put these benefits in writing?
