HFI Infertility Specialists Dr. Kim & Dr. Witz Named to Becker’s ASC Review 2015 list of 156 ASC Industry Physician Leaders to Know

Houston Fertility Institute’s infertility specialists Jonathan Kim MD and Craig Witz MD have been named to Becker’s ASC Review’s 156 ASC Industry Physician Leaders to Know list, released on February 3, 2015. Becker’s ASC Review is the leading source of cutting-edge business and legal information for healthcare industry leaders.

Dr. Jonathan Kim, Director of Medical Education, received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in neurobiology before obtaining his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After completing his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was awarded “excellence in reproductive medicine,” he underwent fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Prior to joining Houston Fertility Institute, he has done extensive research in the role of obesity on the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. In addition, he has co-authored multiple descriptive surgical videos in minimally invasive and reproductive microsurgical techniques. His work has been presented at national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

He is committed to delivering compassionate and personalized care to his patients using the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment of infertility.

Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research, did his undergraduate studies at Harvard University where he graduated with honors. He attended medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed both his Ob-Gyn residency and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Witz remained on the faculty at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and served as the Division Head in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and was the Frank Harrison Chair of Reproductive Medicine. He returned to Houston in 2008 to begin private practice.

Dr. Witz is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He has done extensive research in the area of endometriosis and has won multiple awards for his publications evaluating its pathogenesis.
